She had a serious crush on Spider-Man as it was, and when she found out the two men were one and the same, she fell hook, line, and sinker. As with Doug Ramsey, Kitty and Peter had a lot in common and were both incredibly intelligent. Kitty's relationship with Peter went much further, though.
